Our doctors at the National Wildlife Centre had the opportunity to examine some bats in care. This big brown bat was found awake and brought inside by a cat. Wing webs were carefully checked for any wounds or defects that may affect flight. After assessment for any injuries the bat was given a temporary cave and some super worms until there were enough insects outside to eat.
Thank you to Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary for giving these bats a cool place to hang out this past winter season!
